M's Gordian Knot*

M has a toy that is possibly the most awesome thing ever.  I could entertain myself with it for a few minutes, and I would guess that for the baby, it's hours of fun.  It's this intricate knot with things hanging off it, and when you pull one, it slides toward the knot and one on the other end slides out.

She seems to like it.

Anyway, since we don't allow her to play with swords - which deprives her of Alexander's solution - and she undoubtedly wants to be ruler of Asia, she's havingto improvise.

That's right - Alexander the Great didn't think of chewing through the Gordian knot, now did he?  Silly Alexander.
