Margaret loves her Madeline books. She wants them every night, and every nap, and sometimes in the car now that she has figured out that I can “read” them without looking at them.
And when I leave her for her nap or at night, she wants to have them to look at before she goes to sleep. This means that when I go in to check on her (she extracts a promise from me before she will let me leave the room), I frequently find a sight like this:
And that makes me feel like I’m doing a good job.
