In the evenings, I feed Ellie and go to bed, and Leo stays up with her for a little while.
We developed this system with Margaret, who would eat, and then stay up for another hour wanting to be held. Ellie seems (so far, knock wood, sacrifice a chicken to whoever out there might a) have some power over the sleep schedule of our infant and b) wants a chicken) to be more likely to go to sleep, so really our system is just netting us some super-cute pictures and getting Leo some important baby-snuggling time.
But it’s a really cute picture.
