Cooperation

They are playing together.

I mean, the games aren’t all that complex, but they are playing together, and it’s kind of awesome.

Look – Margaret has green and blue Legos and Ellie has an empty cup.

And now Margaret has put the Legos in Ellie’s cup.

And now Ellie dumps them out to begin again.

Where I come from, that’s a complete play cycle, and they’re doing it together without fighting and without Margaret yelling that Ellie is doing it wrong/infringing on her toys/causing the imminent destruction of civilization as we know it with her thoughtless actions.

And looking closely at these pictures, there’s a phone charger coming out into their play space.  Good parenting, Beth.  Good parenting.
