We went to the park again today, because it appears that if I arrange Margaret’s day so that she spends an hour and a half bouncing off the slides, swings, and other children at the park in the morning, she sleeps in the afternoon.
It’s a good trade.
And Ellie is taking regular and predictable naps as well (9-10:30 and 1:30-3), which means that when Margaret goes down at 1:30 as well, I have time to myself.
Apart from some laundry and the occasional dish, I tend to spend it recovering from spending the morning at the park. But it is still a good trade-off, because no one has to deal with crazy banana-pants Margaret the unslept.
Anyway, today Ellie seemed to really enter into the spirit of the thing.
Also, Margaret met a little boy who chased her and then gave her a hug. It was all very cute. And a little sinister.
