I’ve figured out how to get a picture of Ellie where she is neither asleep nor making her startle-face.
You get her in just a little bit of sunlight, and then make silly noises and faces at her.
But after a few minutes of her mommy capering about like a madwoman trying to get her to smile, she gets a little worried, as is entirely sensible.
So I stopped.
