Upright At Last

Deep down, I’m sure that this life of lying down and being carried and reclining has been wearing on Ellie.  I mean, she may look like she’s living a life of ease and relaxation (except for all the crunches she does when she’s lying down) but she really wants to be up seeing the world.

And thanks to piece of molded foam rubber, her dream can become a reality.

She was skeptical, but I talked her into it.

It took some doing.

Having a chair took some getting used to.

But it was worth it.

And after a while, she was just kicking back and enjoying herself.

Also, does anyone else think that she looks a bit like her great-uncle Steve in these pictures?  (Steven Belgau, not Stephen Basden.  Because there are too many people going around calling themselves Steve these days.  It’s confusing).  It’s the second to last picture that makes me think of him, and there’s no reason that she shouldn’t look like him, but still, it’s kind of disconcerting.
