I’m On A Boat

Margaret has a box which used to contain a metric ton of baby wipes (and lasted about a week).  She thinks that it is a boat, and she likes to play in her boat.  Playing in her boat involves getting into the box, and having me sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” which she asks for by saying “Merrily Merrily Boat Song.”*

Once in the boat, of course, it becomes necessary to batten down the hatches.018

Of course, battening can be frustrating work, when there’s something in the way of the battening, and more frustrating when you yourself are the obstacle.

But if you work at something long enough, you can usually come up with a solution.  Particularly if your mother is willing to sit on the floor singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” to you to help you think in an appropriately nautical fashion.
