This morning, Ellie was sleeping peacefully in her carseat.
Margaret came across a stuffed tiger in the living room. And what’s a girl to do with a stuffed tiger?
She thought that the tiger should give Ellie a kiss.
And then she found a sheep. Sheep like kissing babies.
And a monkey.
And another monkey.
And then she put them all to bed.
And then she made her stuffed animals use the potty,* and do tummy time. Because she’s conscientious, and she wants what’s best for her stuffed toys.
She also has been saying “okay duke-a-doke,” which I think is “okey-dokey.” And she didn’t hear it from me.
*She has not yet used this potty; it is a pristine, fresh-from-the-store, unsullied potty. So don’t worry about THAT.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Margaret's knowing 'okey-dokey' is my fault. Sorry for Flanderizing your child's vocabulary, there.
