Rolling Along

This morning, when I put Ellie down for her tummy time, she noticed something disturbing off to her left.

She surveyed it stealthily.

006

And looked alarmed

008

And decided to escape.  But slowly, because she’s still not clear on the mechanics of rolling over and has to think it through again every time.

At about this point, she got mad.  Because whatever it was over to her left might be advancing, and here she was hung up on her hips, which she only vaguely knows she has.

Anyway, she made it over, and I decided that she deserved a snuggle.

Because all that hard work is super tiring.

Also, when I decided to photograph Margaret rolling over for the first time, I had her in the same outfit.  And I laid them out on the reverse sides of quilts made by one of the Hughes (Christy for Margaret, Caty for Ellie).  A lot of thought goes into this blog, just so you know.  Perhaps too much.  But symmetry.  And easy comparison.  And stuff.
